Book your Driving Test

Booking your practical too early can add pressure. Booking it at the right time can sharpen your preparation.

When to book

You must have passed your theory test first. In practice, the best time to book is when your instructor believes you are consistently driving to a safe test standard, not just having the occasional strong lesson.

What you need

  • Your valid UK provisional driving licence.
  • Your theory test pass details.
  • A realistic idea of the areas and dates that work for you.

What helps most before test day

  • Consistent mock-test standard driving, not isolated good runs.
  • Comfort with independent driving, manoeuvres, and decision-making.
  • Practising in the test area where possible, including local roundabouts, junctions, and speed changes.
  • Knowing the test-day basics, including your documents, eyesight check, and show-me tell-me questions.
