What is Pass Plus?

Pass Plus is a practical training course designed to help new drivers improve their skills and drive more safely. The course typically takes at least 6 hours and can be taken at any time, although it is most beneficial for new drivers in the year following their driving test.

How Pass Plus Training Works

  3. On Rural Roads
    • Gain experience driving on quieter, less busy roads.
  4. At Night
    • Improve your night driving skills and visibility techniques.
  5. On Dual Carriageways
    • Master driving on multi-lane roads with divided traffic flows.
  6. On Motorways
    • Learn the specific skills required for high-speed driving on motorways.

Assessment

  • No Formal Test: Pass Plus does not involve a formal test at the end.
  • Continuous Assessment: Your performance is assessed throughout the course.
  • Required Standard: You must reach the required standard in all modules to complete the course successfully.

Instructors

You will need a Pass Plus registered approved driving instructor (ADI) to guide you through the course. They are trained to ensure you meet the necessary standards and provide feedback to help you improve your driving skills.
